Our Venues
Groove Village is a collaborative festival with the support of many venues in Grove Village. Following last year’s successful festival, we have expanded to 9 venues this year. Below is everything you need to know about the venues to help you plan your visit. Once the page is complete it will include details on each venue and the line ups, with links to their locations, websites, social media and access information.

Access and our venues
We have tried to include as much info as we know to help you plan your visit. There are quieter areas in a few venues and outside spaces for anyone needing them.
There is are accessible toilets requiring a RADAR key in the Royal Hotel and at Grove Park.
Trained, assistance dogs are welcome at all venues but pet dogs are not allowed at every venue and may not have room in smaller venues.

Loves
Loves will be opening a few minutes earlier for people with an access card, to avoid queuing. There is no step in to Loves.
There is one unisex ground floor toilet at the back, a portaloo is planned for outside the front.
Downstairs will be lively, with fixed seats on one side – but this will have a poor view once people are standing for the gig. It is quieter up a flight of stairs with seats and good views at the front of the balcony.
The Brit Bar
The Brit Bar has no step into the courtyard but the floor is uneven with some cobblestones too. There is a small lip into the main bar area but no steps to the male and female toilets.
There is a large outside stage, with picnic tables further back. Inside there are chairs, stools, with a couple with a limited view from the back of the stage through a window. There is a quieter area behind the bar with more seating areas. Dogs are allowed in this venue.
The Stable Games Room
The Stable Games Room has a step inside, and can be busy just inside the entrance. It has male and female toilets on the ground floor.
This is a medium sized venue, with seats and quieter areas behind the bar. There will be a couple of chairs for access at the front near the sound desk. Dogs are allowed in the venue.
CJ’s
There is an undercover area where the wristband exchange is, please ask our team to come to you if you need assistance and cannot access the step.
There is a step into CJ’s but you can access the room from a ramp at the front of The Royal Hotel, please ask a member of the team for help unlocking the connecting door.
The male and female toilets can be accessed by going outside the venue and through the Royal Hotel lobby. The female toilets are under the stairs and the male toilets are on the left, next to the RADAR key toilet.
This is a good sized venue, with seats in front of the bar, and the stage and standing area in the other half of the room. It also has spacious outside area with seats and sea views. There will be a couple of chairs for access at the front to the side of the stage.
SiCo Guitar Shop
This is a tiny guitar shop, with two steps inside, standing room only and no toilet. No dogs allowed.
Grove Records Collective
This is the smallest venue, with a large step and no toilet. It will be standing room only in the record shop during performances. Dogs are allowed – although during any performances or signings it may be too small a space for them to fit comfortably.
Black Cat Micro Pub
There is a step inside of the pub, with another to the female toilet. The male toilets are level with the rest of the pub. It is a small, intimate venue with some seats that go quickly with people stood outside for performances. This is a dog friendly space.
The Fat Tap
There is a step inside with male toilets on the ground floor and female toilets upstairs. This is a long narrow pub, with seats, but visibility may be limited due to the shape of the venue. Dogs are allowed in this venue.
The Regency
There is a ramp inside with male and female toilets on the ground floor. The stage has been moved for this year to the front of the venue. Some seats are available and there is a garden space (with a step outside). Dogs are allowed in this venue.

One of the things that makes the Saturday at Groove Village so special is that you get to see new and up and coming acts up close, in smaller venues. We have varied the set times and music genres across the venues to spread audiences out. We hope you get to see who you want, but we cannot guarantee this.
