Carrot Thieves put stories at the heart of their songs, introducing audiences to a cast of misfits and anti-heroes including daytime drinkers and useless gamblers. With a focus on quality musicianship and fun performances, the three Carrots move so smoothly between genres, from country to dubstep to gypsy punk, you might not even realise you’ve been there and back.

Chris Webb is a performer of modern folk songs with weaving stream-of-consciousness lyrics. Sang over a backdrop of delicate-to-rambunctious fingerstyle guitar, his sets undulate emotively and stylistically, never straying far from the whims of his 70s folk influence.
Eva Penney
Avid Knitter and Crocheter
Born in South-West Devon, Eva Penney is a folk indie musician whose music is so delicately authentic that each of her songs reminisces on emotions and moments. Her lyrics are painstakingly beautiful, adorned with metaphors and rhymes about key points in her life.
Future Plan
Noise makers from Trowbridge
Formed in 2023, Future Plan are a noisy three piece pop punk band based in the West Country. Drawing comparisons to first wave punk acts such as The Damned and The Jam. The band draw upon years of experience and a fervent passion for music to create a fresh spin on punk, art rock and grunge.

Josh Law and Ben Sadler, two friends who met at school in Minehead have enjoyed a whirlwind rise to fame over the last few years thanks to their distinctive, freewheeling mix of disco, hard rock, and weird pop. The band’s boundless energy and seditious wit sees them command each stage they set foot on. Getdown Services have not only proven themselves to be an unmissable live act, but also two of the sharpest songwriters working today.

John MOuse (real name John Davies) is a Welsh musician and songwriter celebrated for his inventive blend of indie-pop, alternative rock, and more recently, electronic music. Known for his witty, self-aware lyricism and emotive storytelling, he has become a distinctive voice in the Welsh and UK indie music scenes.
Maisie Waterhouse
Singer-songwriter, screamer and artist
Maisie Waterhouse is the frontwoman of Bristol-based nu-metal band Mandragora, now stepping into her own with her solo project. Inspired by the likes of Alanis Morissette and Stevie Nicks, Maisie is known for her haunting and ethereal stage performances. She draws from her experiences as a woman in a male-dominated genre (metal) and her early life as a music-festival baby, in her songwriting.

Papa Jupe’s T.C. drench post-punk in sleazy surf rock. The band’s surreal lyrics lampoon masculinity, politics, and power. Their performance and visual style is inspired heavily by a fascination with cults and religion, with “Praise Be” and “All Hail Papa Jupe” becoming audience catchphrases for the band at gigs. Energetic punk band from Bath
If the bass line from The Rezillos’ “Flying Saucer Attack” married the vocal line from X-Ray Spex’s “Oh Bondage, Up Yours!”, with The Shangri-Las as bridesmaids; that’s Quick Romance. Singer Matilda and her bandmates are real mean teens, in love with clothes, music and Brian Jones’s hair.

A noise rock band who over their four albums Dying (2015), Condition (2017), It's Never Going To Happen And This Is Why (2020), AM-DRAM (2024) and countless other releases have cemented their reputation as one of the UK's most visceral and uncompromising acts. Their situationist, subversive skirmishes with the music industry have created many hot messes and cold shoulders.
The New Cut
Bristol 4 piece post punk
The New Cut blend the energy of classic groups like The Fall, Wire, and The Monochrome Set with modern themes and contexts. Formed in 2021, the band quickly gained momentum with a series of successful releases, leading to support slots for Buzzcocks, Sprints, and The Bug Club, as well as landing on Green Man Festival's 2024 Emerging Talent longlist. Poised to transition from local favourites to rising stars in the UK post-punk scene.

No strangers to buzzing clubs, pubs, and bars alike - Townhouses are a self-proclaimed Expensive Pub Rock 3-piece based between London & Bristol. Sonically indebted to The Who, The Buzzcocks, and The Stooges, the trio have performed to packed-out crowds across the UK & EU.

Between her shimmering vocal falsetto (which has been compared to everyone from Barry Gibb to Kate Bush) and onstage theatrics, the iconic disco darling is earning a reputation as one of the most mesmerising live performers around. Her show spans high camp theatrics, 80's indebted synth-pop and sultry disco bangers.

Straight from London's underground
Formed in 2023 by Adam Brennan and Sophie Coppin during a period of isolation - a way of making sense of boredom, frustration and noise, the band has grown into something louder, sharper and harder to ignore. Y come from a punk and outsider lineage, not a conservatoire one. Their music isn’t about polish or genre loyalty, but about instinct, release and surprise.

Formed when Davey Moore (vocals/sampler) met Oliver Duffy (Guitars/vocals) at a rhythmic awareness class at the University of Salford, the line up was later completed by Ben White (Ex-Working Men’s Club) on bass duties - YAANG have ever since been steadily building their reputation for furious, high-energy, live shows, powered by the rocket-fuel combo of pulsating drum loops, clangorous guitars and a wicked sense of humour.
One of the things that makes the Saturday at Groove Village so special is that you get to see new and up and coming acts up close, in smaller venues. We have varied the set times and music genres across the venues to spread audiences out. We hope you get to see who you want, but we cannot guarantee this.
